The primary purpose of the Assistant Director position is to assist the department with Prospect Management, focusing on managing, tracking and reporting on activities with its constituent and prospect pools, and making recommendations to positively influence fundraising activity.
Provide ongoing Prospect Management, which includes facilitating the prospect assignment process to ensure balanced and viable portfolios, as well as portfolios that are in-line with the established policies and procedures. Work closely with field staff to ensure that portfolios are well resourced with appropriate leads from prospect pools. Collaborate with Prospect Research on the management and assignment of these prospect pools.
Conduct multi-year portfolio reviews with assigned field officers to ensure strong portfolios and facilitate the movement of prospects through the solicitation cycle.
Coordinate Prospect Management activities for designated regional team, including but not limited to, attending regional strategy meetings, assisting with event strategies, educating team members on Prospect Management functions, and serving as a liaison between the Prospect Management function and the assigned regional team.
Provide management with tools, such as reporting and analysis, in order to assist them in making data-driven decisions. Assists with the creation and ongoing development of these tools. Collaborate with Systems and Reporting to continue to enhance the capability to track and report on prospect and portfolio activity in order to inform strategy.
Develop supportive and productive relationships with development staff and other staff involved in fundraising.
Perform monthly Q&A for Data Management/Relationship reporting.
Educate staff on Prospect Management business processes, which may include formal training classes.
Other duties as assigned.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, or related field. Two years of experience in development operations, fundraising, marketing, advertising, public relations or patient advocacy. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
