The primary purpose of the Assistant Manager, Pharmacy is to:

Provide efficient and accurate production of all ATC doses.

Ensure excellent pharmaceutical services for the outpatient clinics including pyxis.

Maintain the staffing schedule and supervise the daily operations.

Show independent judgment and decision-making skills.

The Assistant Manager,Pharmacy will:

Function competently as a pharmacist in all areas of the pharmacy.

Supervise staff to assure appropriate medication delivery and patient safety.

Monitor the pharmacy for compliance with all laws and regulations.

Provide development opportunities and ongoing feedback to employees.

Work with staff to evaluate and implement change in the area.

Other duties as assigned



Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy

Preferred Education:

Pharm.D. Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, advanced degree in healthcare, MBA, BCLS/ACLS certification or ASHP Certification of Residency



Two years of related Pharmacist or Clinical Pharmacist experience.

Preferred Experience:

4 Years hospital experience or;

Pharmacy Administrative Residency

IV work flow experience


Required: Eligible to receive a license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
