MD Anderson Cancer Center Associate Director of Data Asset Security/Utilization in Houston, Texas
The Associate Director of Data Assets Security Utilization in the department of Data Impact and Governance is responsible developing and managing core data pipelines and analytics support including maintaining the HVA assessment framework, managing our high value assets (HVA), identifying and management of all data assets, and utilizing prescriptive analytical techniques to monitor data movement to trigger flags to cyber, to compliance and even to digital experience, providing insights for making data-driven decisions.
This Associate Director role will manage and implement data security strategies by collaborating with the cyber security team and cross-functional work groups as needed to ensure successful integration of and exposure to data security policies, procedures, risk assessment process workflow and supporting processes. The Associate Director will work closely with the project management office/organization in the development and maintenance of appropriate methodologies to propose and track project activities.
This position, reporting to the Director of Data Governance and Provenance Office, will also contribute to the creation and management of the annual department budget.

Maintains and executes the data governance framework

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education:
Master's Level Degree
Experience Required:
Eight years of experience with data governance, data analytics, information services, or data management, to include five years of supervisory or management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in data governance, data quality auditing/data assessments.
Must have demonstrated experience working in a matrixed reporting environment.
Strong presentation skills and ability to present complex system technologies and applications to diverse audiences, including senior executive management.
