Provides technical support on the analysis, maintenance, calibration, installation and upgrades on patient medical / other electronic equipment.
Demonstrate technical support for general patient care medical equipment and conduct the electrical safety inspections for the institution.
Medical Equipment Support Program
1) Accountability for paid hours (%): [1 < 76, 2 > 82, 3 > 94] 2) Productivity for hours worked (%): [1 < 70, 2 > 76, 3 > 88] 3) PM On Time completion, for each month / Priority: All Priorities (1 / 2 / 3 / 4) [1 < 100%, 2 > 99%, 3 > 100% and 1 month early] PM Completion rates correspond directly to AEM program specific parameters. 4) PM variance time for completed PMs [1 < 85% or > 115%, 2 = 100%] 5) CM Turnaround time, Average business days taken to repair equipment [1 > 6 days, 2 > 2 days, 3 <= 2 days] (Note; As TMS documented data, per CE guidelines. "Hours worked" defined as anything other than; Educational events, FMLA, Holidays, Meetings, Sick, Training and Vacation)
Demonstrated Technical Competency and Training
Demonstrates solid technical support in analyzing / calibrating / installing electronic / electromechanical / mechanical / pneumatic all modalities of Anesthesia, Medical, Respiratory Care, Surgical equipment and new technologies to component level. - Conducts project management which is consistent with knowledge and experience. - CS Support, deliver products and services no later than the Project Due date. - Utilization of software skills and Local Area Network basics meets the needs of equipment support and communication needs. - On Call support will be provided after normal working hours on a rotational basis - Provide equipment pre-purchase / service contract evaluations and vendor coordination to obtain completion of equipment support activity for cost effective support. - Provide Nursing In services on equipment operational issues to reduce Operator Errors while improving patient quality of care - Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory guidelines and hospital Policy & Procedures that govern Biomed equipment support operations. - Demonstrating quick adaptation to new technologies appropriately. - Utilization of software skills meets the needs of equipment support - Validates & coordinates, LAN services to meet the needs of associated medical equipment devices for required communication needs. - Incident Investigation reports and any remedial action taken to reduce/eliminate future re-counts.
Customer Communication related to Equipment support activities and status Communicate with clients to obtain access to equipment, resolve equipment issues and minimize equipment downtime resulting in safe / operational equipment to our patients and operators - Open and constructive lines of communications with customers will be demonstrated by technician throughout repairs communicating repair status in conversations and e-mails, in a financially responsible manner.
Other duties as assigned
Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology (BMET) or Electronic Engineering. Five years of biomedical technology experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
