Work Schedule Options:

Monday-Friday & Weekends, 7am-3:30pm

Monday-Friday & Weekends, 3pm-11:30pm

Monday-Friday & Weekends, 5pm-1:30am

Monday-Friday & Weekends, 10:30pm-7am

Required: All offers of employment are subject to fulfillment of MD Anderson stated contingencies: Satisfactory results of Criminal and Personal Background Check; and Satisfactory result of a negative result for the Drug Screening detecting the presence of specific illegal drugs and compounds of tobacco.

Key Functions

  1. Applies cleaning/housekeeping knowledge and skills to clean per given Work Instructions which may include:

  2. Sweeping, mopping, trash removal, washing walls, floors ceilings and windows.

  3. Operating electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners and wet vacuum.

  4. All surfaces are properly cleaned, products and equipment are removed and properly stored, and supplies are well stocked.

  5. Must have proper coordination and motor skills in order to work with hand tools and electro-mechanical tools as job requires to perform assigned tasks.

  6. Work in a bent or stooping position and occasionally crawl.

  7. Learns and understands Service Level Agreements, departmental policies and procedures and carries them out through proper responses and quality outcomes to ensure customer satisfaction

  8. Sets priorities and manages work and time through communication with team leader, team members and customers to satisfy their requests.

  9. Monitors own area and inspect work completed.

  10. Must be able to communicate with co-workers in a clear, pleasant, and understandable manner.

  11. Verbal communication on an ongoing basis with customers to determine current status of deliverables and to learn about customer needs and Team members and Team Leader to identify needs for improvement.

  12. Collaborative efforts by Team members to solve problems and deficiencies.

  13. Must be able to work in a dusty environment, frequently in very cramped and unpleasant surroundings.

  14. Some work may necessitate exposure to outside weather.

  15. Must be able to walk from one area of the complex to another to visually inspect work to be performed.

  16. Other duties as assigned.

No experience required.

Please Note: You may be required to transport Covid-19 suspected and/or positive trash. You will be provided with appropriate Protective Equipment (PPE). The required PPE will involve a Fit Test. Proper fitting may necessitate trimming or shaving facial hair because beard growth or facial hair prevents the necessary seal between the respirator and the face.
