MD Anderson Cancer Center Chief Engineer & Director, Engineering Services - Facilities Planning, Design and Construction in Houston, Texas

SUMMARY

The Director of Engineering Services is part of Facilities Planning, Design and Construction (FPDC) that manages funds and projects designated by The University of Texas System for improvements to MD Anderson facilities. The professionals working in FPDC provide their clients with architectural and engineering services, space standards and planning, and interior specifications for their projects. FPDC also handles the creation of long-term development plans for the institution and for specific division within MD Anderson.

T he Director of Engineering Services will provide management and direction of engineering design services in the Facilities Planning Design and Construction (FPDC) department with a portfolio of projects that ranges from $600 million to over $1 billion annually

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ten plus years of engineering experience to include experience in the healthcare, higher education, engineering firm, research design or regulated industry.

  • Seven years of leadership experience required (managing managers).

  • Member of teams in a leadership capacity involved in a portfolio that ranges from $500 million to over $1 billion projects.

  • Preferred Experience: Fifteen years of engineering experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • PE Certification
