The Critical Care Unit is a 55 bed unit which provides care for MICU and SICU patients through a multi-disciplinary team approach. Quality and patient outcomes are at the heart of our practice.

The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years recent work experience, preferably one year in patient care. Must be able to work a combined shift of 8 and 12 hours which includes: 3p-11p, 11p-7a, and/or 7p-7a including 26 out of 52 weekends per year.

Salary Range: Min- $28,800 Mid- $36,000 Max-$43,200

Job Summary-

Greets, provides information and directions to customers. Advises patients and family members of available services. Handles and processes a complex and varied set of documents and situations. Schedules patient visits, physician appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures and treatments. Communicates pertinent information regarding appointments, scheduling, prepayment and financial counseling to patients, families, physicians, team members and other patient care areas. Interprets and coordinates physician orders. Prepares and maintains appointment templates and/or patient records. Updates relevant patient information in order to maintain an accurate patient record. Reviews and reconciles patient charge documents and collects payments in accordance with established departmental processes and guidelines. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of patient information. Assists in ensuring a safe environment for patients, co-workers and visitors.


Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Associate’s degree in Business, Health Services Administration or related field.


Required: Three years of work experience. May substitute additional education for required experience on a one to one basis.
