MD Anderson Cancer Center Credentialing Coordinator in Houston, Texas
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for obtaining and renewing out-of-state licensing on behalf of MD Anderson Cancer Center clinical faculty and other licensed practitioners. This position will play an integral role in advancing the institution's virtual care strategy.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Out-of-State licensure processes Responsible for all aspects of applying for out-of-state medical licenses on behalf of MD Anderson Clinical Faculty, and for other licensed health care practitioners as our virtual care strategy grows. This requires a high level of attention to detail.
Data Entry/Data Review Responsible for accurate and timely data entry into the credentialing database. Review of information provided on prepopulated applications. When deficiencies or questions exist, researching and escalating to leadership as appropriate.
Administrative Liaison Serves as liaison to administrative support staff in the clinical department for coordinating credentialing of potential candidates for medical staff membership or for licensing as a part of the overall institutional licensing strategy
EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three years of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, accounting, auditing or other related field.
Preferred: Experience with out of state licensing.
