MD Anderson Cancer Center Data Analyst, Chief Safety & Quality Office in Houston, Texas
The primary purpose of the Data Analyst position is to provide data coordination and statistical support project and departmental operations and research. The position will provide expertise in data collection, analysis, and analytics.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Infection Control data. Experience using Qualtrics and visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI is also preferred.
Data Analysis and Collaboration
Compiles, analyzes, and reports statistical data for various projects.
Prepares statistical considerations for clinical trial designs and carries out statistical analyses for basic and complex projects independently.
Assists faculty in the development of new statistical methodology for the measurement and analysis of data.
Applies statistical methods and statistical programming as needed.
Assesses relevant literature as well as existing data, evaluates the quality of data used in reports and assists with preparation and distribution of data for committee and scientific meetings.
Attends project meetings with collaborators with or without supervisor.
Provides data support to department and institutional projects as assigned.
Monitors assignments to assure distribution of workload and the assessment of collection efforts.
Prepares and summarizes statistical analyses for use in reporting and manuscript preparation including but not limited to control charts, graphs, and other data visualizations.
Prepares findings for presentation at relevant meetings both inside and outside of the institution as requested.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Nursing or related field.
Required: Three years of related experience.
Additional years of education may be substituted for experience on a one to one basis.
