MD Anderson Cancer Center Data Analyst - Stem Cell Transplantation in Houston, Texas

The purpose of the Data Analyst position, is to perform data collection and outcome reporting on specific disease categories and input clinical data and outcome into the BMTWeb database for all transplant patients. This data is then electronically transmitted to the CIBMTR. Impacts adherence to clinical research protocols and mandated reporting to accreditation and regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a scientific research laboratory or clinical setting.

Data Analysis

  • Accurate data collection into BMTWeb database for assigned disease categories.

  • Ensure that relevant clinical data is collected at designed stages in the treatment process, is entered into BMTWeb database and reported, as required, to the appropriate national registries.

  • Update retrospective missing data on the BMTWeb.

  • Provide clinical information via clinical database(s) to produce donor certification and patient flow sheet.

Protocol review

  • Assists with protocol annual review process and investigational new drug (IND) / investigational device exemption (IDE) status reports by providing response and toxicity information on assigned protocols.

  • Prepares specific protocol reports and analysis to aid decisions regarding therapeutic efficacy and to assist in manuscript preparation and grant submissions.


  • Running queries to make sure that all discrepancies/anomalies are handled in a timely fashion.

Required : Bachelor's degree in Biology, Nursing or related field.

Preferred: Master's Level Degree.


Required: Three years of related experience. Additional years of education may be substituted for experience on a one to one basis.

Preferred: Three years of experience working in a scientific research laboratory or clinical setting.
