Office of Clinical Research Administration
The Office of Clinical Research Administration coordinates the research of our investigators in order to conduct the highest quality clinical research at MDACC. Our office is devoted to the needs and protection of all those participating in or conducting clinical research while maintaining high ethical standards and strict compliance with all regulatory policies. We are advocates for the needs of clinical research.
The Executive Director will assist the Vice President in implementing the strategic vision for the Office of Clinical Research Administration by providing strong administrative, financial, and operational leadership of the following departments to ensure optimum performance. These departments are:
Office of Human Subjects Protection
Office of Protocol Review & Reporting
Office of Protocol Management & Support
Office of Investigational New Drug Application
Experience in an academic medical center.
Ten (10) years of experience managing a human subjects research protection program that includes FDA-regulated and federally funded research or a component of such program at an academic or medical institution, healthcare organization or related entity.
Bachelor's Level Degree
Familiarity with human subjects research including federally funded research and FDA-regulated research requirements.
Experience with project management and handling multiple tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines, while maintaining focus despite conflicting demands.
Familiarity with electronic health systems and clinical research system interfaces.
Preferred Certifications: Certified IRB professional, Certified in Health Care Research or Clinical Research Professional
