Title: Grant Program Coordinator - Health Disparities Research
To reduce and ultimately eliminate disparities in cancer incidence, morbidity and mortality and cancer related behavior through research and education addressing the determinants of disparities as well as interventions and policies designed to eliminate disparities.
The primary purpose of the Grant Program Coordinator (GPC) position is to provide support for the overall grants and contracts process within HDR. Serves as a resource for HDR faculty and research staff who participate in the grant and contracts process.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Pre-Award Grant and Contracts Proposal Submissions Supports administrative planning as requested for HDR grant and contracts submission initiatives, to include working with all HDR principal investigators (PIs) and postdoctoral trainees and/or their designee following established departmental procedures.
Engage in the submission/review process by performing a quality check on all grants and contracts submissions (against sponsor instructions) to ensure formatting, budgeting and other components are accurate following established departmental procedures. Update relevant departmental records and reports as needed following established departmental procedures
Post-Award Progress Report Submissions Supports administrative planning as requested for HDR grant and contract progress reports, to include working with all HDR principal investigators (PIs) and postdoctoral trainees and/or their designee following established departmental procedures
Engage in the submission/review process by performing a quality check on all progress reports (against agency instructions) to ensure formatting, budgeting and other components are accurate following established departmental procedures
Update relevant departmental records and reports as needed following established departmental procedures
Data Entry/ Database Management/ Reconciliation Acts as primary individual for financial data entry into GA6 system.
Manages, codes, and links backup documentation to each corresponding GA6 entry
Files documents into electronic filing system. Performs monthly reconciliation for HDR funds and projects following established departmental procedures, as well as dhering to established schedule
Provide service to our customers, including patients, patient caregivers, referring physicians and each other, in a reliable, responsive, safe, friendly and courteous manner.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree.
Experience Required: Three years of extensive administrative experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one year basis.
Schedule: Mon - Fri 8 - 5pm
