MD Anderson Cancer Center HVAC Mechanic - Mon/Tues 3p-11:30p, Sat/Sun 7a-7:30p in Houston, Texas
Work Schedule: Monday/Tuesday: 3pm-11:30pm; Saturday/Sunday: 7am-7:30pm
Ideal candidate will hold a current HVAC / Refrigeration contractor's certification or license; Universal Certification by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Maintain, Repair, Troubleshoot Serves as an HVAC and Refrigeration member of the PM team.
Installs, repairs, and maintains refrigeration equipment
Installs, repairs, and maintains environmental rooms and ice machines.
Understands the use of all hand and shop tools of the trade.
Requisitions materials and maintain inventory.
The employee may be expected to be part of an on-call group
Monitors and troubleshoots refrigeration systems through BAS systems and/or other diagnostic tools. Follows schedule of preventive maintenance and makes recommendations regarding major overhaul of systems. Investigates outages. Inspects jobs on completion for compliance to work requests, job requirements, specifications, and applicable codes.

Document and Communication Provide complete information to accurately document corrective action, labor hours, and materials used on work orders.
Timely communication to supervisor of any other issues encountered during the performance of work.

High school diploma or equivalent. Four years experience in a mechanical field to include commercial installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, control systems or other mechanical environments. Three years of experience required with preferred Associates degree, as referenced by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR). Two years of experience required with preferred Bachelors degree, as referenced by the TDLR.
Preferred: HVAC / Refrigeration contractor's certification or license; EPA Universal Certification
