SUMMARY

The person in this position provides coordination and support for MD Anderson's multiple local, regional and national advertising and marketing programs that support the institution's overarching Strategic vision. This person will assist with the strategy, development and implementation of various advertising campaigns and other programs and help manage the day-to-day work of external agencies and provides budget and other logistic support for the team.

The person in this position will:

  • Provide support in the coordination and oversight of advertising campaigns

  • Support efforts to track and report key program metrics, specifically leads, marketing-influenced new patient registrations, engagement and other critical effectiveness measurements

  • Support the advertising team on ad hoc requests such as leadership presentations, audits, agency or internal logistics and budget management support

  • Coordinate miscellaneous advertisements upon request with internal design team and external agencies

  • Assist with landing page development while working with internal stakeholders and agency partners

  • Facilitate the day-to-day coordination of paid promotion opportunities in collaboration with Public Relations team

  • Collaborate with teammates in the Marketing department, the Institutional Affairs division and across the organization to ensure seamless communication and oversight of shared projects and programs.

Key Functions

Advertising and Marketing Programs

  • Support in the strategy, development, implementation and ongoing management of the marketing programs to support local, regional and national advertising effort, priority service lines, and other institutional priorities.

  • Assist with the development of presentations, support key projects, and coordinates logistics in support of program plans.

  • Help manages outside agencies and provides direction to internal resources to develop and manage advertisements, media plans, and other components of a comprehensive marketing and advertising campaign.

  • Support the development and management of advertising plans to promote sponsorships and philanthropic initiatives.

Project Management & Planning

  • Identifies marketing needs and coordinates activities for marketing initiatives.

  • Works with internal departments and external agencies to develop and manage advertisement needs, media plans, and other components of comprehensive marketing and advertising campaigns.

  • Participates in regular project meetings, ensuring integration, movement and collaboration between internal and external teams.

  • Implements and upholds brand and messaging guidelines. Works with all internal clients to ensure collaboration, efficiency and adherence to brand and other internal guidelines.

Measurement

  • Helps to oversee ROI process by tracking advertising and marketing program efficacy and analyzing key metrics. Coordinate with agency partners and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate delivery for broadcast, OOH, print and digital media and tracking mechanisms are implemented. Work with agency partners to capture confirmation processes and track key conversions.

  • Reports metrics and analytical findings to key stakeholders. Ensure findings are incorporated into ongoing marketing plans for the assigned program.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Supports in the management and logistics of multiple budgets.

  • Participates in RFP selection process for Marketing-owned contracts, as well as participates when required in other organizational RFPs.

  • Helps manages external agency relationships, including selection, contract management, budget tracking and evaluation of agency performance.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Provides additional marketing consultation and support as assigned.

Education

Required : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

Required : Five years of marketing experience in a managed care, sales, communications or healthcare environment.
