The primary purpose of the Operations Manager position is to provide operational support to the Department of Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and specifically the Breast Imaging Section. This position is dedicated to managing the collaborative partnership with Memorial Hermann and our Houston Area Locations. The Operations Manager works closely with the Medical Directors, Physician Regional Directors, Breast Imaging radiologists, and our Memorial Hermann colleagues.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPENTENCIES
Faculty Practice Management
•Manages the operational workflow and works with Medical Directors for Faculty Practice at Outpatient Satellite Imaging Facilities
•Produces dashboards and decision support reporting mechanisms as it relates to managing the Physician Practice in a community setting. Assumes accountability for financial oversight of areas of responsibility including, annual review and account reconciliation, budget development and variance analysis/explanation, and supply inventory. Responsible for equipment budget development and implementation in collaboration with the DA
•Supervises operations including issues related to faculty resources, scheduling, and customer service. Develops plans in collaboration with the DA/AD, Chairman and Division leadership. Ensures that operational practices are continually improved through the development, implementation and evaluation of continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with institutional, divisional and department based policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.
Facilities/Physical Assets Management
•Is responsible for facility and physical asset planning and maintenance including facility design and inventory management developed in collaboration with the Department Administrator and the Director of Finance and Business Operations. Ensures optimal utilization of assigned resources. Justifies requests for incremental space resources using institutional and divisional processes.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field
PREFERRED EDUCATION : Master's Level Degree
EXPERIENCE: Four years of experience in a professional/administrative capacity, to include two years' experience in a supervisory capacity in any field. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience or completed years of college on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, two years of supervisory/management experience.
