MD Anderson Cancer Center Parking/Operations Assistant in Houston, Texas
Ideal candidate will have strong customer service, basic computer skills, strong communication and time management skills. Parking experience is a plus.
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Parking/Operations Assistant position is to provide the highest quality of service to parking customers at all times, requiring a degree of independent decision-making and judgment regarding customer interactions. Monitors parking operations and reports issues to management. Processes daily parking transactions including updating parking data, collecting and reconciling parking funds, completing daily paperwork, and setting payroll deductions. Receives payments, reconciles receipts, and prepares bank deposits. If required, performs field duty in the absence of the Parking Attendant. Answers office and gate phone calls professionally, with a pleasant tone of voice and helps customers with their needs. Greets walk-in customers professionally, with a smile and pleasant tone of voice and helps them with their needs. Answers emails within 24 hours professionally, accurately, completely, and free of errors. Prepares metrics, reports, and other documentation as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Customer Service
Provide excellent service to customers, whether walk-ins, phone calls, or emails.
Meet customer needs completely, accurately, and professionally in a timely manner and with a pleasant tone of voice.
Answer emails within 24 hours completely, accurately, professionally, and free of grammatical errors, misspellings, and other mistakes.
Money Accountability
Accurately account for revenue collected in the Parking Office.
Reconcile daily receipts and make daily deposits as directed.
Ensure cash is handled and stored properly and in accordance with established procedures.
Computer Skills
Utilizes computers to perform most operational functions within MDAs Parking Access & Revenue Control System.
Prepares metrics, reports, and other documentation using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
Parking Ambassador
Professionally represent Parking Operations at new employee orientation and customer meetings.
Provide information, answer questions, and set up new permits.
Review and update presentation materials.
Field Duty
If required in the absence of the Parking Attendant, monitor and inspect MDA parking locations; issue parking violations as needed.
Report problems and incidents to maintenance and management.
Conduct space utilization counts.
High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of cash handling, retail sales or related experience. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
