Patient Care Technician (Nursing Assistant) opportunity on our Pediatrics Unit (Evening/Night)
Patient Care Technician Position in our Pediatric Children's Hospital is looking for candidates that are flexible, enthusiastic about family and patient-centered care and passionate about pediatrics care. Our 35 bed unit will allow you to care for all pediatrics patients in the following services lines: Pedi oncology, pediatrics surgical, pediatrics stem cell transplant and cellular therapy and young adult stem cell transplant and cellular therapy.
Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years recent work experience. May substitute additional education for required experience a one to one basis. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources. Prefer one year of recent experience working in direct patient care as a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician.
Must be able to work 3pm - 11pm / 11pm - 7am / 7pm - 7am and 26 out of 52 weekends per year.
Salary Range: Minimum $34,500 - Mid-Point $43,100 - Maximum $51,500
SUMMARY
Function: Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.
Scope: Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
Essential Job Functions: Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.
Marginal Job Functions Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred: One year of recent experience working as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Required: None.
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant
Other Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
