The primary purpose of the Physics Assistant position is to provide support to a comprehensive quality assurance program that ensures proper function of radiation measurement equipment, treatment devices, imaging systems, and associated equipment and technologies. Impacts patient care and research activities related to radiation oncology.
Performs all aspects of quality assurance measurement on linear accelerators, dose measurement instrumentation, and patient imaging systems.
Assists in the calibration and commissioning of dosimetry equipment. Assists with acceptance and commissioning measurements for treatment, imaging, and planning systems.
Performs direct and indirect patient specific dosimetry and quality assurance functions.
Assists with radiation beam, and quality assurance measurements.
Analyzes data and prepares reports.
Required : Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Science.

Preferred: Previous Radiation Oncology experience preferred.
