MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoc - Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis in Houston, Texas

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applications for postdoctoral fellowships starting immediately in epigenetic biology, DNA methylation, transcription factors and functional somatic mutations, using state-of-the-art tools of biochemical, enzymology and structural biology.

The postdoctoral research will be performed in a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment with world-class experts and advanced technologies and facilities, which provide unique and ideal career development opportunities for postdocs. Successful candidates will be supervised by Dr. Xiaodong Cheng, a senior faculty member and recognized leader in epigenetics, who have successfully trained 40 postdocs. Recent representative publications on transcription factors HIC2 (Nature Genetics, 2022), ZNF410 (Mol. Cell, 2021 and NAR 2023), ZBTB7A (Cell Reports, 2021 and JBC 2023), DNMT1 inhibition (Structure, 2022 and Nature Cancer, 2021) and inhibition of C. difficile specific DNA adenine methyltransferase CamA (Nature Communications, 2021 and JMC 2023). ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology, cancer biology, genetics/epigenetics, or relevant fields. We are interested in passionate and self-motivated candidates who ask fundamentally important questions and are bold in taking innovative approaches.

POSITION INFORMATION

MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 (https://trainees.mdanderson.org/apply/mdaPostdoctoralFellowStipendFY24.pdf) . depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. MD Anderson trainee compensation also includes:
