MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoctoral Fellow - Experimental Therapeutics (Fan Lab) in Houston, Texas

A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, United States. This position reports to Dr. Zhen Fan, Professor of the Department of Experimental Therapeutics.

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join us to develop novel bispecific antibodies for treating solid tumors, such as breast cancer and colorectal cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will perform hands-on experiments, including designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and preparing manuscripts.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The Postdoctoral Fellow's primary research focus is to carry out preclinical studies using various mouse tumor and PDX tumor models to assess therapeutic responses to the treatments and to explore/demonstrate the underlying mechanism of actions. The fellow will be required to present data regularly at lab meetings and to attend journal clubs and research seminars.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Individuals with a PhD degree in pharmacology/therapeutics, immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, or related fields with less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience with rodent studies is required for this role. Candidate should have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. A proven track record of publications and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

POSITION INFORMATION

MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000 (https://trainees.mdanderson.org/apply/mdaPostdoctoralFellowStipendFY24.pdf) . depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. MD Anderson trainee compensation also includes:
