MD Anderson Cancer Center Program Manager - Patient Safety in Houston, Texas
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in program/project management, and possess qualities of adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to manage stress levels in a fast-paced working environment.
This is a hybrid position with both onsite and remote working requirements.
Program/Project Management
Coordinate and oversee the development of the various institutional CPSO projects
Manage the office of the CPSO and institutional stakeholders in addressing/mitigating urgent/emergent safety issues that requires timely analysis and resolution
Manage (leads, plans and directs) operational programs assigned including program/project deliverable
Clearly and professionally communicate vision, strategies, and current/future project outcomes
Facilitate seminars, conferences, and events to promote/educate about initiatives
Facilitates the implementation of projects/project teams using project management skills, tools, and techniques
Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for initiatives
Determine and secure necessary resources for programs/project- Manage program/project deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness
Collaborate across MD Anderson manage challenges and mitigate barriers for programs/project
Manages program activities including facilitating meetings, structuring agendas, coordinating speakers, and recording minutes
Program/Project Communication
Represents the CPSO across forums internally and externally as needed
Prepares monthly and annual reports, publications and , and abstracts based on program/project outcome
Collaborates with key stakeholders from across the enterprise to participate in the design generation and analysis of reports for data collection related to safety and quality indicators, compliance monitors, and quality improvement activities
Serves as a liaison between stakeholders and department
Identify key stakeholders for each project and ensure a clear understanding of project scope, roles and deliverables.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to produce manuscripts, pub
Reporting
Regularly report to department leadership and stakeholders on the progress of all deliverables
Prepares and/or assists with the preparation of reports, briefings, presentations, responses, and other communication medium for institutional and strategic initiatives
Develop presentation materials as needed
Develop education materials as needed

REQUIREMENTS
Required Education: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education: Master's degree.
Required Experience: Five years related experience to include three years program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
