SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Program Manager position is to provide project management support to the DI Safety/Quality/Value Operations Team in order to improve the Culture of Safety in the Division of Diagnostic Imaging. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading and participating in project management activities related to Safety, Quality and Value within the Division of Diagnostic Imaging and at the Institution-level as needed.

KEY FUNCTIONS

1.Manages the membership, meeting schedule and communication for various committees as assigned to support Safety, Quality, and Value initiatives in Diagnostic Imaging. Manage Agenda, Minutes and Action Items for assigned committees in partnership with Committee Chair(s).

2.Create and Maintain Databases in support of Diagnostic Imaging Safety, Quality, Value efforts (ex. Peer Learning, Policies & Procedures, Patient Education, Performance Improvement projects). Draft policies (as needed), manage routine review/updates.

3.Partner with Diagnostic Imaging Patient Safety Coordinator to execute Daily Safety Huddle and resolution of Safety Intelligence reports. Prepare for report out at Institution Safety Huddle as needed.

4.Develops, analyzes, and manages various projects as assigned by the DI Safety/Quality/Value Operations Team to include Peer Learning, Med Practice, Patient Education, Error Assessment, Policies & Procedures, etc.

5.Manages content creation and execution of Safety education for DI new employee orientation. Manages creation and execution of Error Assessment/refresher training for all DI Supervisors/Managers.

6.Assist DI Leadership to promote Culture of Safety in DI to include routine communications on Safety topics at Divisional Forums, Newsletter, etc.

7.To support a culture of learning, ensure all DI Safety Intelligence reports are assessed for errors. Errors are reviewed consistently across Division, debrief conducted consistently across DI according to policy and decisions documented. Partner with System Engineers (OPI) to ensure System errors identified, are transitioned in to improvement projects.

8.Develops project plans that identify key issues, problems, approaches, performance metrics and resources required. Develops work plans which include schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets and status reports. Establishes procedures for implementation of project outcome.

9.Identifies data needs and requirements proactively. Assumes responsibility with DI management for the integrity of projects through coordination, identification of scope and impact, data gathering strategy, effective presentation and assessment of implications to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals.

10.Resolves day-to-day problems that impede the success of various large-scale, multi-faceted projects involving employees across the institution; works with individuals and teams to resolve and remove such barriers.

11.Collaborates with departments and divisions throughout the institution to gather safety, quality, and value information needed to facilitate and complete divisional projects in which DI leadership is involved. Provides summary reports and recommendations. Serves as a representative for division leadership as needed.

12.Implements innovative solutions for centralized communication for decentralized groups

13.Supports Recognition of Faculty & Staff related to Safety, Quality, and Value initiatives in Diagnostic Imaging to include Celebrate Solutions, Good Catches, etc.

EDUCATION

Required : Bachelor's degree.

Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Finance, Operations Research, Public Health Administration, or other related field.

EXPERIENCE

Five years of project or program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience or completed years of college on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.

Preferred: Project management experience in a health care environment. Demonstrated ability to determine key business issues and develop appropriate action plans from multidisciplinary perspectives. Effective leadership, project management, and consulting skills.
