JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

1) Research Projects:

• Assists principal investigators with scientific research projects focused on gastrointestinal cancers and/or endoscopy

• Reads literature and confers with principal investigators regarding new research methods and modifies them according to the needs of the project

• Functions, under supervision, in the design and initiation of research projects

• Assists in training and research work activity for assigned project and research personnel

• Submits project results to principal investigators

2) Compliance/Regulatory Coordination:

• Maintain all regulatory documents for all research projects

• Respond to compliance-related queries as needed.

3) Publications:

• Utilizes technical writing ability to assist in the composition of abstracts, manuscripts, research projects, reports and other medical/scientific correspondence under the direction of study investigators

• Editing and/or writing sections of protocols, grants and reports as directed by study investigators

• Reviewing manuscripts before submission to publishing companies

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Minimal level: Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education: Master's Level Degree or above

Certification: None

Preferred Certification: No certification required with preferred degree.

Experience: Experience in clinical research data collection, interaction with patients, or clinical trials

Preferred Experience: Experience in clinical research project, and clinical trials.

Qualifications - External

Bachelor's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences. Two years experience in scientific or experimental research work. No experience required with preferred degree.
