MD Anderson Cancer Center Research Interviewer - Orthopaedic Oncology Research in Houston, Texas

SUMMARY

Provides data collection and administrative support in carrying out various research projects.

Surveys and Questionnaires

  • Administer surveys, questionnaires and collects outcome measures as indicated and as directed to patients, caregivers and providers.

  • Administer performance-based tests and collect outcomes measures to research participants such was walking, balance and functional tasks.

Research Coordination

  • Work in collaboration with the faculty and research team to coordinate the data collection for Orthopaedic Oncology projects.

  • Sees patients referred to the department and reviews the eligibility of potential study cases with the physician.

  • Acts as liaison with patients, families, physicians and other personnel.

  • Works with other research personnel and outside institutions as needed.

Clinic Outcome Data

  • Screens database, patient schedules and clinic schedules for new research candidates and active participants needing research follow up.

  • Consenting potential participants for research activities and protocols.

  • Collecting data, recording data, data entry, maintaining data and database management.

Other duties as assigned

Education

Required : High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred : Bachelor's degree in related field.

Experience

Required : Two years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required.
