Summary

The primary purpose of the Secretary position is to perform typical secretarial duties for the Department of Social Work to include daily coverage of the reception desk, greeting patients in a professional manner, assessing needs, referring to appropriate staff, and maintaining reception areas.

Key Functions

  1. Provides primary coverage of the reception desk in The Department of Social Work to include greeting patients and answering telephones in a professional manner.

  2. Obtain and verify patient information utilizing OneConnect to triage referrals, suicide pages, and code blue pages to the appropriate social work counselor to ensure patient needs are met.

  3. Maintains reception areas including, but not limited to, updating all brochure racks, pamphlet holders, and disinfecting waiting areas.

  4. Utilize OneConnect to distribute cash vouchers and housing contracts.

  5. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Required: High school graduate or equivalent. Specialized training in secretarial skills (such as word processing).

EXPERIENCE:

Required: One year related clerical experience. Must pass pre-employment skills a test as required and administered by Human Resources.
