Title: Senior Research Assistant – Fulltime – Palliative Care & Rehab Medicine Research

Roles and Responsibilities

Experiment execution and technique development Plans and executes the details of experiments and research protocols. Evaluates and interprets results. Responsible for major participation in the development and revision of techniques, assembles and operates research/laboratory equipment. Preparation of reports, manuscripts and grant requests.

Data Entry, Management & Quality Review of Data Perform quality assurance tasks on abstracted and entered data. Maintain integrity of data collected, and identify missing values. Enter information into coded format as required. Design and maintain validation reports on databases for research studies. Review data entry of research studies in computerized databases. Performs basic data entry of laboratory and clinical data for subjects participating on departmental clinical trials. Assists with data collections and review. Records and validates data obtained in accordance to the project.

Data Analysis Prepares tables and graphs, including simple data analysis. Prepares manuscripts, grant applications and reports. Assist in data cleaning and preparation for analysis.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field

Education Preferred: Biology, Chemistry, or any other science degree preferred

Experience Required : Three years of experience in scientific or experimental research work. With preferred degree, one year of required experience

Experience Preferred: Clinical research experience, working with large amounts of data

Salary Range: Min $39,200 Mid $49,000 Max $58,800
