Title: Senior Research Scientist - Fulltiime - Genitourinary Medical Oncology (Research)

This will focus on Prostate Cancer Research

Perform Molecular Biology assays:

DNA and RNA isolation/purification, PCR and Real Time PCR, total protein extraction (cells and animal tissues), Immunoprecipitation, Co-IP, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, and Flow cytometry.

Perform Cell Biology assays:

Culture of human and murine cell lines (monolayer and suspension), culture of primary human and murine cells, cell transfection of plasmids (stable and transient), and cell transducing of viral particles.

Perform Histology:

Tissue fixation and embedding, sectioning of paraffin, plastic and frozen blocks, immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry, and confocal microscopy.

Organize documentation and present the result in the lab meeting. Requires knowledge of and experience using various graphic, word processing, and statistical software programs.

Written and verbal communication: Draft well written scientific manuscripts and grant applications.

Performs ordinary laboratory functions: placing and receiving regular lab orders, prepare common solutions, and normal maintenance of lab equipment/reagents.

Other duties as assigned.

Education Required: Ph.D. in Natural Science, related field or medical degree.

Experience Required: Five years of experience in experimental or scientific work.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
