Ideal candidate will have video production and editing background.

The primary purpose of the Senior Communications Specialist, Integrated Media, position is to manage and develop communications projects through multimedia production (video and audio); Web and social media content; writing, reporting and editing; planning and logistics; consulting services.

Key Functions

Multimedia Production: Produces video and audio content for communication projects and initiatives, including;; publications; news releases; events; mass emails; digital marketing advertisements; and for our organizational social media channels. Includes concept development; videography; editing; and directing. Emphasis on scene staging; lighting; image composition; camera and audio operations; and post-production non-linear editing systems and software. Develops and maintains relationships with client groups to better understand roles and processes. Routinely attends face-to-face meetings with client leadership, attends key customer meetings and is available for consultation, as needed.

Web Content Development: Regularly develops and/or updates content for MD Anderson sites and blogs, as well as social media platforms. Keeps abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Writing/Editing: Contributes to MD Anderson communication and marketing programs and services through video scripts, search engine-optimized titles and descriptions; presentations or other materials. Clear, consistent writing and editing in all work products. Command of Associated Press and MD Anderson brand and editorial style. Proactively tracks down story ideas.

Measurement: Tracks and analyzes success of work product, provides status reports and identifies as well as solves potential problems.

Other duties as assigned

Required: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field. Four years of experience in public relations, communications, writing/editing, Radio/Television or related field. Preferred Master's degree with a major in Communications, Multimedia/Communications Production, two years of required experience.

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
