MD Anderson Cancer Center Sr. Fitness Center Specialist in Houston, Texas

Provides fitness instruction to member at all fitness levels. Impacts the Culture of Health institutional strategy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assists in designing, implementing special personal training programs, incentives and marketing campaigns. Coordinates the personal training program, assigns personal training assignments, and maintains training records, reports and timesheets. Identifies opportunities for development opportunities for staff. Teaches fitness classes and/or performs personal training sessions as scheduled.
Other Duties as Assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Public Health, Community Health Education or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in worksite wellness in a healthcare environment.
REQUIRED: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
PREFERRED: Current personal training certification through a national organization (NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ACE, etc.).
Current group exercise certification through a reputable national organization (ACSM, NSCA, ACE, YMCA, AFAA, etc.).
Current wellness certification through a national organization (CHES, WELCOA, NWI, etc.)
