MD Anderson Cancer Center Sr Maintenance Technician - Elevators/Escalators in Houston, Texas

Ideal candidate will have elevators and escalators maintenance experience including knowledge of TDLR requirements and applicable codes.

SUMMARY

Provides demonstrated sub journeyman-level work in a designated craft.

Elevator Rounds Conduct a morning walk-through to evaluate the interior condition of all assigned elevators and escalators and create work orders for any operational issues. Perform Elevator Preventative Maintenance as assigned, including but not limited to indicator inspections, medical emergency testing, emergency phone testing, and fire service testing support. Discusses issues, concerns and process improvement options with our peers and Supervisor.

Asset Data Collection and Commissioning Maintains accuracy and timeliness of CMMS information. Collects data and assists in maintaining a current elevator interior database, which details all interior selections. Provide Commissioning Support, New Construction / Modernization design review to be compliance with applicable codes, TDLR requirement and safety.

Maintenance & Repairs Assists in initiation, coordination & scheduling of elevator interior repairs and/or replacements.

Performs less skilled electrical work such as repair and adjustment of electrical equipment, appliances, Two-Way Radios and Two-Way Radio Equipment.

Provide routine inspection on Preventative Maintenance work orders that was performed by the third party contractor, to be compliance with MD Anderson's standards, TDLR requirements, best practices and applicable codes.

Process Improvement Discusses issues, concerns and process improvement options with other PPT's and Supervisor.

Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent. Five years experience in one or more crafts (i.e. - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation).
