MD Anderson Cancer Center Sr Maintenance Technician - Fac Mgt-PC&PF-Bld Care & Ops in Houston, Texas
Ideal candidate will have Low voltage electronic experience. Control panels, automatic doors, etc.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7am-4pm
Repair and maintain building and utility equipment, respond to customer calls, provide support to emergencies, subject matter expert, provide leadership and critical thinking.
Maintain, Repair, Troubleshoot
Lead or under limited supervision performs repairs, troubleshooting, routes and preventative maintenance on various equipment, buildings, and utility systems using one or more craft trade skills. Maintains records of materials, jobs, and other pertinent information. Responds to and triages critical equipment alarms and makes repairs as necessary.
- Applies general craft knowledge and skills by following work instructions to:
a) Repair or replace ceiling grids and tiles.
b) HVAC initial response for hot/cold calls, odors, exhaust issues, repair or replace equipment, etc.
c) Plumbing initial response to unclog water closets, sinks, shut off fixture stops, use sewer machines on floor drains, replace faucets, valves and fixtures, etc.
d) Electrical tasks such as clean/replace light diffusers, replace lamps and ballasts, switches and receptacles, etc.
e) Assist with preventive maintenance as required by the assigned tasks.
Notify management of all recognized equipment repairs.
Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
Engage in collaborative efforts by team members from all craft shops to resolve problems and repair/upgrade deficiencies in the utility systems.
Communicate with team members to identify needs for improvement.
Repair and maintain utility systems equipment, such as, pumps, valves, steam systems, vacuum pumps, compressors, water softeners and heat exchangers.
Water quality analysis and/or recording of data
Manage all assigned work orders to be completed as per schedules.
All completed work meets professional standards of cleanliness, maintenance and safety in accordance with work instructions
Other duties as assigned
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Five years experience in one or more crafts (i.e. - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation).
Salary Range: $38,000 - $47,500 - $57,000
