MD Anderson Cancer Center Work Control Coordinator in Houston, Texas
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Work Control Coordinator position is to communicate and coordinate information about personnel, material, and time to accomplish facility maintenance and project work on a priority basis. WCC also coordinates cost, work data, and status among clients, contractors, operations and maintenance, and other Facility Services departments.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Procurement of Materials
Timely processing of Stock Issues by sending to the Warehouse or via direct entry if applicable.
Perform quality checks on all submitted Stock Issues.
Follow up on client approvals and enter updates on Mainsaver.
Coordinate with the Warehouse on ETA's.
Request for quotes and coordinates with outside vendors.
Process material requests / issued materials sheets.
Compile all necessary documentation and submits to Sr. AA for accounts reconciliation.
Timely processing of Purchase Requisitions.
Perform quality checks on all submitted Purchase Requisitions.
Request for quotes and coordinates with outside vendors.
Receive PO materials and notify requestor of arrival.
Compile all necessary documentation and submits to Sr. AA for accounts reconciliation.
Contract Services
Maintain Miner Houston contract.
Primary contact for corrective work orders.
Generate PM and coordinate schedule.
Run, review and maintain open work order query.
Enter corrective actions onto Mainsaver, enter and approve contract costs.
Follow-up to verify completion of contractor work and related activities.
Work Schedule Packets & LOTO / SCAF Folders
Review and enter technician's weekly schedule in Mainsaver.
Print and distribute work schedule packets as well as email copies to Superintendents and Planners.
Create LOTO and SCAF folders as needed.
Compile all completed LOTO and SCAF documents.
Work Orders and Query Maintenance
Create low priority work orders as requested by technicians via PPWR.
Update work order status and priority codes.
Run, review and maintain Mainsaver queries on a daily basis.

Asset Data and Maintenance
Create and maintain equipment asset data as per Mainsaver standards.
Build asset hierarchy.
Correct and update Mainsaver as per the automatically generated Business Objects report, asset data collection sheets and contractor generated equipment matrix.
Routes and PM Program Maintenance
Create and maintain PM Master Records, Rounds and Inspections.
Generate PMs, Routes and inspection work orders.
Enter specific material information into the PM system.
Enter route readings onto Mainsaver.
Run, save, and print out results of queries on Mainsaver. Run Business Objects reports pertaining department business, and understand the output.
Update asset list on PM groups and task sheets as directed by Superintendents.
Associate's degree or trade diploma/certificate. Two years of administrative or clerical experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
