The Division of Endocrine Surgery at the Head and Neck Department of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is actively recruiting candidates for a postdoctoral fellow position. We are seeking a post-doctoral fellow to join the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to study clinician-rated, patient-reported outcomes of head and neck cancers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Collaborate on outcomes research within the scope of large registry data sets.

Participate in supportive care clinical trials.

Engage in dissemination and implementation research.

Contribute to outcome measurement research utilizing mixed method data sets, including clinician-rated, patient-reported outcome, and imaging data.

This postdoctoral fellowship offers a mentored research experience in a federally funded, highly collaborative, and productive clinical research program. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop research skills, publish peer-reviewed manuscripts, and receive mentorship in grant writing within the field of cancer prevention and cancer outcomes.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Doctoral degree (MD or PhD) is required.

Previous experience in clinical research is essential.

Preferred degree backgrounds include MD, PhD, or related disciplines.

Prior exposure to cancer prevention, cancer survivorship, head and neck cancer, outcome measurement, psychometrics, advanced biostatistics, or analytics is advantageous.

Strong writing skills, evidence of high-quality protocol research, human subject experience, and scientific presentation history are crucial qualifications.

POSITION INFORMATION

MD Anderson follows the NIH stipend levels as outlined by the Kirchstein - NRSA (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-23-076.html) . This full-time trainee position will provide a salary between $56,484 to $68,604, dependent upon the years of postgraduate experience.
