MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoctoral Fellow - Genitourinary Medical Oncology - Research in MDA-On-Site, United States

The Msaouel Lab at the MD Anderson GU Department is seeking a Postdoctoral fellow candidate to join the effort to investigate the mechanisms underlying cellular plasticity, evolution and treatment resistance of renal cell carcinomas subtypes.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Gain experience in optimal clinical specimen preparation with particular emphasis on molecular testing in accord with institutional and regulatory guidelines.

Develop skills in animal care, organization of the colonies, genetic manipulation of the mice recapitulating key aspects of human malignancy.

Develop skills in 10x single-cell sequencing library construction, analysis and interpretation.

Develop skills in data integration and multi-omics analysis.

Build knowledge in personalized medicine and precision health.

Develop proficiency in scientific writing and communication, including publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research at conferences.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

M.D. or Ph.D.

Prefer a candidate with the following qualifications/experience:

• Recent (within 3 years) graduate

• An understanding of cancer biology

POSITION INFORMATION

MD Anderson follows the NIH stipend levels as outlined by the Kirchstein - NRSA (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-23-076.html) . This full-time trainee position will provide a salary between $56,484 to $68,604, dependent upon the years of postgraduate experience.
