MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoctoral Fellow - Lymphoma-Myeloma - Research in MDA-On-Site, United States

The primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Fellow is to assist the Principal Investigator and other Faculty members with scientific research projects within the Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma. The primary activity of this position is with a team of cancer immunotherapy lab researchers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Our research is focused on developing novel adoptive T-cell therapy approaches for both hematological malignancies and solid tumors. The candidate will be involved in developing and evaluating novel adoptive T-cell therapy strategies including CAR-T and TCR-T, and viral- and tumor antigen-specific T cells in both in vitro and in vivo models. Candidates should be self-motivated, career-oriented, and capable of troubleshooting.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should be graduates with an M.D. and/or Ph.D. in immunology/immunotherapy. Experience in T-cell culture, assays to assess T-cell function, animal experiments with syngeneic or xenograft tumor models, and T-cell biology. Experience in working with human immune and tumor cells, animal studies, retrovirus and/or lentiviral generation, molecular cloning, transduction of primary T cells, gene editing, and flow/mass cytometry is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, multiple publications, and strong reference letters are required.

POSITION INFORMATION

MD Anderson follows the NIH stipend levels as outlined by the Kirchstein - NRSA (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-23-076.html) . This full-time trainee position will provide a salary between $56,484 to $68,604, dependent upon the years of postgraduate experience.
